Another Step Forward in My YES Life

today is the first day…

I’ve taken another step forward…

I am officially free y’all.

Friday was my last day at my job.

Today is the first “work day” where I’m my own boss.

And I couldn’t be more excited for the awesomeness that I’m creating for you…

there’s so many ideas and offerings in the making…

so put on your seat belt and get ready for a wild ride.

Creating My YES Life

As I was thinking about what today means for me, I thought about a quote that used to guide me for a big portion of my life.

It had gotten lost in the shuffle but I’m so excited I remembered it today…

I used to share this quote all the time in high school and college, from the many leadership positions and groups that I was a part of…

I don’t think it’s any coincidence that when I asked my big beautiful brain what to share with you today the first thing I heard it say was: “Today is the first day of your life…

So without further ado, here it is…a great reminder for me and you today:

TODAY IS THE FIRST DAY OF THE REST OF YOUR LIFE

This is the beginning of a new day. God has given me this day to use as I will. I can waste it – or use it for good, but what I do today is important, because I am exchanging a day of my life for it! When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever, leaving in its place something that I have traded for it. I want it to be gain, and not loss; good, and not evil; success, and not failure; in order that I shall not regret the price that I have paid for it.
