Denial Robs Us of Clarity and Action

Denial Robs Us of Clarity and Action

How is fear showing up as optimistic denial in your life?!

Stick with me here.

This concept can set you free.

How are you avoiding change in your life because you entertain the thought that it will improve in time or with more money?

All because of fear.

We choose uninspired.

We settle for less.

Because we hallucinate that the future will be better – a great lie if we are doing nothing to create intentional change.

We dress up our current situation with our lie rather than look inward to develop self-awareness.

To avoid being honest with ourselves and owning how we create our own misery.

“Pure hell forces action, but anything less can be endured with enough clever rationalization…

Do you really think it will improve or is it wishful thinking an excuse for inaction? If you were confident in improvement, would you really be questioning things so?

Generally not. This is fear of the unknown disguised as optimism.

Are you better off than you were one year ago, one month ago, or one week ago?

If not, things will not improve by themselves. If you are kidding yourself, it is time to stop and plan for a jump.”

– Tim Ferris

Are you in optimistic denial?

It’s a pretty uncomfortable space to be in.

So, how about intentionally choosing the discomfort in creating change rather than the discomfort of settling and stagnation? Please comment below. I want to know!
